WXQW broadcasts a news/talk format to the greater Mobile metropolitan area.〔〔 Owned by Cumulus Media, its studios are on Dauphin Avenue in Midtown Mobile, and its transmitter is in Daphne, Alabama.
The station began as a country & western outlet in 1964, this station had broadcast contemporary Christian music, children's radio, urban contemporary gospel, all-news radio from CNN Headline News, blues music, and syndicated talk radio formats in its nearly 50 years of service to the Mobile area.〔〔〔〔
